In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Houston; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Texas are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 amβ9 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Lin's Grand Buffet at (281) 861-5648; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in Houston peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This buffet floored my husband and it was so backed yet so clean! You pay when you go in and the food is amazing. The wait staff is attentive without you feeling stalked. All the trays stayed full despite people regularly going up. When a table cleared, the staff cleaned the table and had it ready for the next guests before you even realized the last family left. The dessert I feel like is where they really shine. They had ube cake and REAL soft serve icecream! My family will 100% be coming back here.

This place is clean and quiet. A lot of dishes to choose from. The Mongolia grill area has steak. The server is very attentive and friendly.

We tried this new place on hwy 6 north, and I can tell you its worth to visit. No buffet is perfect, expect greasy food and a mix of good and bad dishes. Upon arriving it took us like 15 minutes to get a table. They are fast to clean after people leave, making the rotation of tables quite fast. Some of the best items to try are the steaks, grill to order along with your plate of noodles, veggies and/or meats picked from the line. Some others are okay like crawfish boil, ribs, wings. They have a wide variety of Chinese dishes and sushi(I did not try) salad bar and fruits. For kids pizza, chicken nuggets. Forgot to mention soups. The dessert bar looked fully stocked with a variety of sweets, they also have an ice cream machine and cones dispensers. Overall servers are quick to pick up you empty plates and refill your drinks. I noticed kitchen personnel promptly refilling empty containers of food. This place its not that big but it does have plenty of seating, which its close to each other, so you have to look out for people walking up and down with food. Overall it was a good experience. If they keep it clean and restocked with fresh food all the time, they will have long success.

Very good buffet food. Most was very fresh and cooked right. Value was excellent. Fresh fruit was sweet. Good variety of sushi (was also very fresh). Noodles were great. Lots of different entrees that were not breaded (I donβt care if breaded and fried). If you want breaded, they had several breaded entrees too. Had hibachi grill too! They have military discount as well! Our bill was $30 for 2 for lunch. We gave a cash tip to our server. Server was great, spoke English and was very helpful explaining everything and telling us about the different items added for dinners.

They have a grilling station that you can order steak and Mongolian from! Must try their bourbon chicken, beef broccoli, and pork ribs (they have bbq AND salt&pepper). Everything was fresh. The restaurant is very modern and clean. So good. Will be back.
